Bastet is an ancient Egyptian goddess associated with protection, the home, childbirth, perfume, music, celebration, and cats. Her earliest forms possessed a fiercer leonine character, while she was later commonly represented as a domestic cat or cat-headed woman. Those drawn to working with Bastet may be seeking household protection, joyful confidence, stronger boundaries, or a devotional practice honoring cats and sacred feminine strength.
